Weekly Update - June 16th

Week ending on June 16th, 2024.

Completed this week

  • We have enabled Solana Pay on the main apocalyptic.shop .

    • Solana’s high transaction speeds, near-zero fees, and sustainability make it an ideal choice for scaling web3 payments while also providing a great user experience.

  • We have set up the full store on both Facebook and Instagram.

    • You can now add to your cart and checkout without leaving those apps.

  • We are finishing up the final details of the TikTok shop. It will be enabled in the coming days.

    • We are still working on the Walmart store.

    • Amazon is giving us some problems with the setup. We are working with their support to set it up.

  • The development of 2 other products is in the final stages. We are waiting for final approval before we enable them in the Shop. United is working through the approval of new products. We will enable these items in the coming weeks.

    • 2 variety packs of hot sauces. We are waiting for approval from United on labels.

      • 3 packs - 1 mild, 1 medium, and 1 hot flavor will be in the variety pack.

      • 10 packs - 1 of each of the flavors.

    • A secret product that will be the hot new item for the summer season.

  • Nearing the finish of the wholesale site. There was some back and forth on how best to accomplish this and we have settled on one that will work well for us.

    • We are shifting to a wholesale site with ThrillKicker branding.

      • Orders for all products would still be available for Apocalypitc Ape holders.

        • Hot Sauce

        • Doc's Apothecary

        • Bites & Cookies

    • Enabling access for retail outlets with separate pricing structures.

    • Allowing the same order fulfillment processes as the main apocalyptic.shop . This is a VERY complex web of shipping customizations since multiple fulfillment vendors exist.

  • We found a bug in the automated process to fulfill beard products. This only affects edge cases, so we can still fulfill most orders.

    • We are working on a fix for this, but it seems to be a limitation in the automation.

  • There was also another bug that came up in the automation. This one is a problem that needs assistance from the application support team.

  • Discussions with a distributor have started. They are interested in both food and other consumer goods. We have had some very good conversations so far.

To do

  • Discuss with Fity how to handle the Hot Sauce NFTs.

Challenges

  • Wholesale store changeover is a massive undertaking. The store has been brought down while we work on getting everything changed over.

  • United is being very slow to respond to any inquiries about the new products. We continue to wait for them before launching anything.
